Every release ships a checksum file. If you want to confirm the installer arrived intact, download SHA256SUMS.txt from the same release, then compare it against the file you got.

The value it prints should match the line for that file inside SHA256SUMS.txt.
The app checks for updates on its own and offers a restart to install them. Use this page if an update will not install, if you want to reinstall cleanly, or if you are setting up a second machine. You can always see every build, with its notes, on the releases page.
