# Munder Difflin > Munder Difflin is free and open source: a desktop app that runs a team of coding agents > such as Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI on your own computer. Each agent is the real > CLI in its own terminal, signed in with the subscription or API key you already have. > Your clone, Michael, is the one agent you brief: he assigns the work, routes messages > between agents and brings back only what needs you (spend, scope and destructive steps). > Agents keep markdown memory in a shared, searchable palace, message each other through > mailboxes, and can run on a schedule, from Slack or from a webhook. The source in the > GitHub repository is MIT licensed. Current version: 0.4.6 (the source in the repository). > Latest app release: 0.5.6 (17 October 2026), installers for macOS (signed and notarized), > Windows and Linux. Engines it runs: Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Gemini CLI, Antigravity (Gemini), xAI Grok, Kimi Code, Qwen, OpenCode, Crush, pi.dev, GitHub Copilot CLI, Cursor, or any custom command. Your own API keys and local models work too, through Ollama, LM Studio or vLLM. New in 0.5.6: Capabilities (Pro), a marketplace of 2,347 MCP servers, skills, plugins and tools from the public list HarnessMD/awesome-agent-capabilities, 622 of them reviewed by us; Integrations, one place for Slack, webhooks, the apps your agents use and your keys; and Teams, so your office talks to your teammates' offices. Agents also use fewer tokens by default, and a temp, a short lived agent for one job, can answer Slack, a teammate, a webhook or a schedule. Free and Pro: the app is free. Pro is a paid plan, $150 USD a year adjusted for purchasing power, that adds Capabilities, agent files, the Pro sidebar (Tasks, Inbox, Automations, Memory, Capabilities, Integrations) and the Stapler, which records meetings and sends messages, screenshots and files to any agent. As part of the 0.5.6 launch, Pro is free for everyone who signs in until Saturday 24 October 2026. ## Product - [Download](https://harnessmd.com/download): macOS, Windows and Linux builds - [Homepage](https://munderdiffl.in/): features and FAQ - [GitHub repository](https://github.com/HarnessMD/munder-difflin): source, issues and releases - [Release notes](https://harnessmd.com/download#whats-new): what changed in each release from 0.5.2 to 0.5.6 - [Agent Gallery](https://munderdiffl.in/hires/): ready made agent roles to import - [Telemetry](https://github.com/HarnessMD/munder-difflin/blob/main/TELEMETRY.md): the anonymous usage events official builds send, and how to turn them off ## Key guides - [How to install and use Munder Difflin](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/how-to-install-and-use-munder-difflin/) - [Your first hour with Munder Difflin](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/your-first-hour-with-munder-difflin/) - [Frequently asked questions](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/munder-difflin-faq/) - [How to hire from the Agent Gallery](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/how-to-hire-from-the-agent-gallery/) - [How the GOD orchestrator works](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/how-the-god-orchestrator-works/) - [How to talk to your orchestrator (voice)](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/how-to-talk-to-your-orchestrator/) - [Command Center guide](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/command-center-guide/): tasks, schedules, fleet and budgets - [Scheduling autonomous agent missions](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/scheduling-autonomous-agent-missions/) - [Trigger AI agents from Slack](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/trigger-ai-agents-from-slack/) - [How to use the built-in Monaco IDE](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/how-to-use-the-built-in-monaco-ide/) - [Give Claude Code long-term memory](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/give-claude-code-long-term-memory/) - [Run a mixed engine office](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/run-a-mixed-engine-office/) - [Run Munder Difflin on open models](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/run-munder-difflin-on-open-models/) - [Run Munder Difflin on a Mac Mini](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/run-munder-difflin-on-a-mac-mini/) - [What's new in 0.5.6](https://harnessmd.com/download#whats-new) ## Comparisons - [Best Claude Code multi-agent tools](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/best-claude-code-multi-agent-tools/) - [Claude Code orchestration tools compared](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/claude-code-orchestration-tools-compared/) - [Claude Code alternatives](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/claude-code-alternatives/) - [qm vs Munder Difflin](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/qm-vs-munder-difflin/) - [Claude Squad vs Munder Difflin](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/claude-squad-vs-munder-difflin/) - [Orca vs Munder Difflin](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/orca-vs-munder-difflin/) - [Cline vs Munder Difflin](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/cline-vs-munder-difflin/) - [Claude Code git worktrees vs a hive](https://munderdiffl.in/blog/claude-code-git-worktrees-vs-hive/) ## Blog 243 posts, grouped by topic, newest first in each topic.
